Mia had a program for preschool last week. I was very interested to see how it would go. At her Christmas program she wouldn't leave Chris' lap - she never joined her class and didn't perform at all. She is SO shy, especially when there is a crowd or strangers involved. She promised us that she was going to do it this time, and there were tears initially - but her teacher led her up front and soon she was good to go. You can see in the second photo that her performance of a "horse/unicorn" in Humpty Dumpty was when she was still fighting back the tears. But after a bit she was singing every word and having a great time.
We were so proud of Mia and it was a big step for our very shy little girl.
